I have started following a gaggle of craft blogs and on "Some what Simple" she challenges herself and others to make a simple craft that she found to make. So, to strengthen my skills I decided to take up her challenge and make a "Crayon Cozy." I think it turned out super cute. This project helped me learn how to sew on rick-rack. The first time (yes I had to unpick the whole thing) I sewed it together I had the rick-rack sticking to far out on the edges, so when I flipped it inside out you couldn't see it at all. Now I know where to, and how to pin it best to let it show and to avoid making it all bumpy. :) Here is the link to the tutorial in case you want to give it a try: Crayon Cozy.

That is darling! Your fabric choices are adorable!!! I need to make mine still, and now you have me wondering if I know how to sew ric rac... have I ever done it before? Hmmmm.... this might be interesting!
Oh my gosh Liz, you are a natural! I already know I'm going to be way jealous of all your projects!
really adorable - great job!
drat! I was thinking of making Sarah one of these for Christmas! Oh, well. Your fabric's probably cuter than what I would have chosen, anyway.
That's so cute! It doesn't look that easy though! I LOVE the material- where did you get it?
That turned out really cute! Way to use your skills.
Super cute - I wish I could sew.
ooh I love your fabrics--where did you get them?
I got the fabric at Joann's. Which "seams" to be the ONLY fabric store in Pittsburgh (although I haven't researched it too much).
Thanks for all the compliments ya'll. You are so sweet. :)
That is so cute! I don't know how to sew at ALL! Maybe I will try it out though. My kids would love one for Christmas! Especially Kinley!
I posted these cute pics on my blog! You are now a published woman! Congrats.
