Gymnastics

Today was Sarah's first day of Gymnastics... and boy was she excited to go.

She came with me to get her signed up last Thursday and has been pestering me ever since,
"Can we go to Nymnastics now?"
Just look at how excited she is waiting for Miss Beth, her teacher to call her in.

Last night I let her try on her leotard to show the G'mas and G'pas on the webcam.
Sarah was so excited she started practicing her somersaults and probably did well over a hundred. She has got that one down!

Here she is in her cute little class.

The parents aren't aloud in the gym during class, which is good. I am sure Sarah will behave a lot better without mom by her side. The lobby has large glass windows so I can watch her cute little class the whole time. While talking to the other parents (or nannies rather) I learned that Miss Beth is by FAR the best teacher. What luck to pick her class time.

Sarah did really well. Didn't always do exactly what she was asked, and did goof a little at times, but all in all I was really proud of how well she did on her first day.

Way to go SARAH!!!

Now for some videos. Like I mention we are on the other side of glass so you can't hear the kids, just the other moms talking... so you can just mute it. Nothing is going on accept Abby crying toward the end.

Here they are doing warm ups:

Meeeechelle's Visit

We just love Michelle! She makes everything hilarious and the girls just adore her.
It was an awesome visit and we did lots of fun things together.

The day she got in we decided to take her to a one of a kind Pittsburgh restaurant.
We've heard great things about the Primanti Brothers (famous for their trucker, meal in a sandwich... thats right, coleslaw and fries in your sandwich), and had never been their ourselves so we decided to give it a shot.

Wasn't that great.

But hey, now we can say we've been there.
The next two days we tried to pack in the fun.

We went and toured the Cathedral of Learning.

We parked on the wrong side, and had to push Abby up a hill to get to the entrance.
We made Ryan do all the work. hehehe

Inside it was very cool, and Hogwarts-ish (?)

During construction of this building they asked for countries to donate money and in return they would decorate a room honoring that country. They are very fun to see.
Surprisingly Sarah LOVED going around to all of the rooms. She played pretend school and in each class she ordered one of us to the front to teach the class while she sat in a desk/chair.

Next we headed over to the
Andy Warhol Museum.

The girls had a little less patience for this tour,
but we still enjoyed seeing weird and twisted art.

We especially loved the Silver Cloud room... you aren't supposed to take pictures in the exhibits... so I snuck a quick (real quick) video of the room. The girls LOVED it!

The last day Michelle was in town we decided to drive out to
Falling Water
designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.
It was the perfect weather to be outside and touring.
Michelle brought these petticoat skirts for the girls. Aren't they adorable?!!
We put smiles on every person's face we walked past.
(So sorry, there are a lot of pictures).
Abby LOVED her skirt.
I had to change her diaper and she screamed until I put the skirt back on.
Her cute little toddle just added to the little princess act.
Cool tree.

Uh, lets try that again...

Oh, look how much she adores Michelle.
Couldn't decide which I liked better.

After we drove home we decided to ride the Mt. Washington Incline to see the skyline.
Here we are riding up... Ryan's face cracks me up!
The view.

Impossible to get a non-blurry picture... this is the best I got.

Thanks for coming to visit us Michelle!
We love you so much and we're so spoiled by your fun visit.
Sorry we got you hooked on the Hunger Games series... that forced you to stay up all night reading them.

We can't wait to see you in December!

The Fishy Song

**Music player is off to the left so you can pause the music**

So here is the Fishy Song. It is a cute little song. You just put your hands together and swim like a fish and then during the bubble-splash part you cover your mouth until the splash. That is they only part Abby does, but that is what I love.
Just ignore how annoying I sound... and focus on the cuteness.

I scream, you scream

We all scream for ice cream!

Abby's first Ice Cream Cone
She loved it!

Sarah did too!

Perfect way to end a fun day swimming at the lake...

and learning how to roll down hills.

Heart Attack

Well, Sarah gave me the biggest heart attack of my life. I hesitate to even post this, because it makes me feel like such a great parent. But, here we go.

Sarah, being the climber she is, have you forgotten... just click HERE to remind yourself. Has had numerous bonks and crashes, you'd really think she'd learn her lesson, but nope.

She is still a climber.

Well the other day, I heard the noise of the blinds opening really fast, and then Sarah screaming. She had wrapped the cord around her neck and was climbing on the back of the couch and fell. I don't think she was seriously hurt, but it sure did scare her. We had a long talk about how scary that really was and how it could have been much much worse. Luckily, the only thing that happened was a nasty rope burn on her neck.

So sad. I was really embarrassed to take her anywhere for fear of people thinking I had tried to strangle my daughter. Luckily, I don't think anyone noticed.

Sure scared mommy! The worst part is, I had walked through the room, not five minutes prior to the incident and the thought crossed my mind, "you should pull down those blinds, Liz." Should have listened.

There... now I am sure all of you fellow mommies out there will never want to leave your kids alone with me again...
and feel a lot better about your mothering abilities.

Squish!

When ever I open the fridge door both of my kids run for it. It is like some secret land lives with in our fridge and when I open the door they make a mad dash to escape to a better world.

It is more of an issue with Abby.

But Sarah was getting in the way the other morning, so I decided to teach her a lesson and try to squish her inside of the fridge.

Lesson failed... it just became a giglle fest...

and then demands for more squishing.

Silly girl.

Abby is getting into more and more trouble lately.
She has now learned to climb up onto things like...
chairs, couches, the bunk bed ladder (this one is scary), tables, anything really that is knee height.

They are keeping me on my {tired} toes.

5 Years Ago Today

Guess what happened?

Yup! Ryan and I tied the knot.

(Prepare yourself for cheesy nostalgia)

I don't know how I got lucky enough to marry Ryan.
He's amazing. I could list the huge list for you... but I'll keep that between Ryan and me.

It is crazy to think why Ryan wanted to marry a crazy girl like me.
But I am sure glad that he did.
Even though I do some pretty silly things.

(Yup he is laughing because I'm goosing him)

But so does he.

Happy Anniversary Love!
